Service Description: This map document provides access to data from the Natural Resources Conservation Service’s Soil Survey Geographic (SSURGO) Database. The data can be retrieved as Map Packages for individual hydrologic subbasins by clicking on a subbasin and then clicking the download link in the pop-up window. Data are delivered as an Esri Map Package containing the SSUGRO mapunit polygons and the outline of the hydrologic subbasin. A folder containing layer files for use in symbolizing the data is also included with the map package. The soil data are contained in a feature class created from the SSURGO mapunit polygons, mapunit table, legend table, mapunit aggregate attribute table (muaggatt table), and component table combined into a single table. The subbasin boundary is from the Watershed Boundary Dataset. For documentation of the SSURGO dataset see: http://soils.usda.gov/survey/geography/ssurgo/ For documentation of the Watershed Boundary Dataset see: http://www.nrcs.usda.gov/wps/portal/nrcs/main/national/water/watersheds/dataset Listed below are the attributes included in this map listed by their SSURGO table: Mapunit Polygons: Survey Area Spatial Version Mapunit Symbol Mapunit Key National Mapunit Symbol Mapunit Table: Mapunit Name Mapunit Kind Farmland Class Highly Erodible Lands Classification - The tables were joined and field aliases and indexes were added. A field named Map Symbol was added and populated with random integers from 1-10 for use in Map Package symbology. This map package was created on 10-08-2012.
